About the Role
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a geologist/metalllurgist to drive innovation in metallurgical processing to support domestic critical materials production. The position, housed within the Critical Minerals and Geothermal Energy Department, will work closely with a team of geologists, chemists, chemical engineers, materials scientists, and computational scientists to develop new feedstock beneficiation pathways and separations technologies to unlock unconventional domestic critical material…
Responsibilities
- ✓Perform metallurgist duties as assigned by supervisor at Idaho National Laboratory
- ✓Follow workplace safety and hygiene rules at all times
- ✓Work scheduled shifts including overtime when required
- ✓Report issues or equipment problems to the team lead promptly
- ✓Maintain a professional attitude with colleagues and supervisors
Requirements
- •Previous experience as metallurgist preferred but not always required
- •Skills: Valid passport, Willing to work abroad, Reliable attendance
- •Valid passport with at least 12 months validity
- •Medically fit for manual / on-site work
- •Willing to relocate and complete visa process
